Does anyone else feel like Sunday nights should be for staying in and pampering yourself? One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday night is relax and meditate in preparation for my week ahead. My ideal Sunday night would look something like this: drinking warm tea in my pajamas, binge watching Parks & Rec, and treating myself to an at home facial. When I received my Erno Laszlo Vitamin C Peel in the mail, I knew that my Sunday night pampering routine was about to get even better. Continue reading for my brief review of this splurge-worthy product.
Step 1 involves lathering your (freshly washed) face with this heavenly orange scented cream. It has micro beads that exfoliate as you spread an even coat on your skin. Continue to exfoliate in areas that are especially dry (for me it’s the side of my nose and in between my brows). The mixture is not as thick as you might think, and it’s actually quite a bit slick. I was worried that it looked really oily on my skin, however it did not over saturate in any way. Leave the step 1 mixture on for about 3 minutes.
Step 2 involves adding a drop of serum to your hands and then applying it on top of the mask. To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what this does, but that’s what it said to do in the instructions. After adding the step 2 serum, leave the peel on for another minute or so before rinsing off. My skin was silky soft after using the peel, and was not oily whatsoever. After about an hour or so, I applied the translucence cream in order to lock in some of the moisture.
Aside from the delicious scent, one of the best things about this product is the all natural ingredients that boost your skins vibrancy without harmful chemicals. The ingredients include vitamin c (to reduce dark spots and dullness), carrot seed (to fight age spots and sun damage) and lactic acid (to gently exfoliate skin, allowing it to absorb healing nutrients). This product is expensive but a little goes a long way and I can definitely see it lasting me up to a year. This would also make a really nice gift for a friend or family member who loves beauty/skin products. I’ve linked the Vitamin C Peel and Translucence Cream below.
