Finding the right place to stay is the foundation of a good vacation. Depending on your vacationing style, you may or may not spend tons of time at your resort but nonetheless, your place of stay is highly important. As a beginning traveler, I have made my fair share of booking mistakes. Sometimes TripAdvisor can be deceiving – like the time my sister and I booked a “boutique” motel in Vancouver, only to find ourselves propping a chair against the door at night “just in case.” However our decision to stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo San Lucas was definitely one of my best booking decisions yet. Continue reading to find out four reasons why this resort is totally worth your stay.
Top Four Reasons to Stay at a Pueblo Bonito Resort
1. The Food and Drinks.
In my marriage, food is a centerpiece. We evaluate vacations based on the amount of amazing food we have. And that is why we loved staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Although we did not sign up for the all inclusive meal plan, we still had access to dozens of restaurants on the Sunset property alone. The range is from casual diner food to formal fine dining – and everything was amazing. Our favorite dinner was at the Peninsula bar at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. We also really enjoyed that you could order food from any of the pools. Needless to say, we ate a lot of ceviche.
2. The Location.
Pueblo Bonito has several resorts throughout Mexico, with four specifically in the Cabo San Lucas region. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is located on the Pacific Ocean side and is a bit more removed from downtown Cabo San Lucas. At Pueblo Bonito Sunset, you will experience a true “vacation” feeling. You are steps away from a secluded and private ocean front, and the set up couldn’t be any more beautiful.
Next door to Sunset is Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, an adults only luxury resort. The location is equally stunning however the vibe is a bit more quiet and relaxing. We loved that we had free shuttle access to the downtown resorts as well. We visited Pueblo Bonito Rose and Los Cabos and were able to easily catch a boat tour to El Arco. As soon as we were tired of the busyness of downtown, we hopped back on our shuttle for the 20 minute drive to Sunset. Each night we would watch the sun paint the sky with incredible strokes of pink, orange and purple. It’s no wonder they named it Sunset ;).
3. The Swimming Pools.
Vacationing in Mexico basically means relaxing poolside with a margarita in hand. At any of the Pueblo Bonito resorts you can choose from several different pools, all of which are amazing. Our favorite pool was the Sky Pool at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. This giant infinity pool is perched high upon a hill that boasts incredible ocean views. We absolutely loved sipping mojitos and feeling purely relaxed up there. Every single pool we visited was unique and designed for ultimate vacation bliss.
4. The Service.
Last but not least, the service at all of the Pueblo Bonito resorts is top notch. Because we were staying in a suite, we had our own private butler. He help us book any of our activities outside of the resort and even would reserve seats for us at any of the pools at any of the resorts. Our butler was amazing however all the staff really went above and beyond to make our vacation incredible. From the golf cart drivers to waiters at the pool, everyone had a smile on their face and made us feel spoiled beyond measure.
